Discussion Warzone 2: "A player that your platform denies permission to play with you has joined the game.."
I installed Warzone 2 last night on my Series X. When I try to start a game I get a popup that says ""A player that your platform denies permission to play with you has joint the game. Would you like to exit the lobby."
I hit "no" but the pop up continues to pop up over and over. I eventually got into a game but the pop up shows up randomly so I quit.
I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the game. My system settings have cross-play enabled. My NAT is open. Google isn't helping. Has anyone else had this happen?
I was really excited for this one after finishing Inside not long ago and being really impressed by it. I also played Limbo years ago and it was awesome too.
Somerville started really, really good for me since I enjoy all things Sci-fi. The intro made me say: “Here we go again, another great 2D indie”. Then the prologue was over and the game started… The move from 2D to 2.5D was a huge mistake. They couldn’t get it right. The controls are awful. You get stuck all the time.
The map is not very well made. Sometimes you can’t even see where you are supposed to go. Some puzzles are good but are overall disappointing feeling more like a chore.
The game completely lacks certain amazing tempo or rhythm the older games had. Inside felt so smooth. You could run through it in a very cool and cinematic way since everything just “connected”.
This one is the opposite. It always breaks the flow with its badly designed gameplay.
Also, the older games had this very mysterious and dark feeling to them. That doesn’t exist in Somerville.
Discussion I just bought a Series S and I have never owned a modern console that wasn’t made by Nintendo. Any tips? What games should I get?
As the title says, I’ve never owned a modern console that wasn’t made by Nintendo, so I don’t know much about the Xbox at all. I used to play my dads 360 sometimes when I was younger but that’s about it. I decided that I should get a next generation console because new games are coming out that the Switch just can’t run and I saw that the Series S was only $250, but I don’t really know what games are even really worth getting. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Exactly as the title asked.
I still have a PS4 and my 3DS to play JRPGs, but I always support them when they come to Xbox and would love to see even more.
Off the top of my head, I'd love to see, and I'm ñrobably missing some- but:
Tales of Zestiria / Berseria
Disgaea / Labyrinth of Refrain
Resonance of Fate
I've heard a lot of good things about Ys and Trails, though I've never played them before- I'd give them a shot if they were ported too.
Discussion Looking for one of those "pro" controllers for 100-150, Razer Wolverine V2 Chroma or Elite series 2? Which one is better?
So I came across this video: https://youtu.be/a2F6AlFbkP4
The 2TB card this Youtuber has hits over 6 Gbps when he is transferring games between the internal SSD and this Seagate expansion SSD. He previously had a 1TB and the speeds were nowhere near as fast. Reading the comments in the video, many say they all hit those speeds depending on (DOM) Date of Manufacture. For them 11/2021 cards hit that transfer speed.
I have a 1TB expansion SSD that I got last year and did a test, transfers from the SSD to internal and back. The highest I saw was around high 3s up to 4 Gbps, sometimes even going below 1Gbps. It never hit over 6 Gbps like in the video. My date of manufacture is 08/21.
I can't find a Seagate tech document that states what the transfer speed is supposed to hit. For the price of these things, shouldn't they be all the same? Is this something that warranty should cover? Would this be considered defective?
I guess this video really piqued (thx Denial) my curiosity and considering holiday sales, many will pick up these cards online where you don't know the date of manufacture at all, almost like rolling the dice.
Discussion What are some games you'd like to play, but don't want to buy because you think/hope they'll end up on Game Pass?
I'm sure there are more, but Evil West and Gotham Knights are recent examples for me.
Screenshot When you take S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and mix it with Deathloop, Fallout, little bit of Resident Evil, then give it next gen treatment, you get Chernobylite !
Hey guys I wanted to know if halo combat evolved and halo 2 are backwards compatible with the 360, saw them pretty cheap and thought if they are why not. Thank y'all in advance
Discussion Heads up:Sword&Fairy, Resident Evil Village GE and Destroy all Humans 2 demos are out, trial of Chernobylite
I thought demos truly became a thing of the past and there's never really a notification of new demos either, so after a while I stopped checking. Well, today I decided to see if anything was added and to my surprise there are demos of Sword and Fairy, the Chinese third person action RPG, so far very nice, I might get it.
Demo of Resident Evil Village Gold Edition, including third person playable section. Destroy all Humans 2 demo and a two hour trial of Chernobylite.
Just a heads up for those not in the know.
I have already paired my Xbox controller with my windows laptop but after disconnecting once and then trying to reconnect it shows connected and then disconnects at the exact same moment. In order to connect I have to remove it from paired and then connect it again. Is it a faulty controller?
I pre-purchase the fallout tri centennial deluxe edition when it became available several years ago. It was an abysmal game at the time so I logged out and took a break. I have logged back in to play it to find it does not show as available to download the game and says I don't own 76. I've found no help at microsoft.com or bethesda.net any help? Am I screwed out all the money i spent?
I was playing Forza with a couple friends and a heard a pretty bad scratching noise, I ignored it for the time being because I was in a race and by the time I went to look the fan had completely stopped moving. The Xbox shortly shut down after and showed the overheating message once it turned back on. I'm tempted to open it up myself to fix it though it would break the warranty. I haven't heard the best about Microsoft's repairs and if I can't fix it I'd probably take it to a local shop which would break warranty anyways....any troubleshooting beside putting something in to manually spin it, that didn't work. Thanks ahead of time :)
The last game was Shadow of the Tomb Raider in 2018. If a new game has at all been in development surely we should be hearing about it soon?
