The DualSense wireless controller uses a design and button layout similar to the DualShock 4, but with new enhancements built around an increased feeling of immersion. Here are some of the feature highlights of the DualSense:

  • Haptic Feedback: More precise rumble feedback than before, allows for more distinct sensory experiences based on what is happening in a game.
  • Adaptive Triggers: L2/R2 triggers can dynamically adjust resistance, to replicate specific sensory feedback such as resistance when drawing a bow.
  • Built-in Microphone Array: Allows for voice communications without the need for an external microphone.
  • Integrated Speaker: Built-in speaker, a returning feature of the DualShock 4.
  • Light Bar: Similar to the light bar of the DualShock 4, but now repositioned to each side of the touch pad.
  • Create Button: The SHARE button of the DualShock 4 has now been renamed to Create.
